This policy explains what personal data Bankpediaa collects, why, and the choices you have. We follow the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
What we collect
- From Google when you sign in: your name, email address and profile photo. We never receive your Google password.
- What you add: display name, username, bank, role, city, birthday (day and month only; only you see it), bio, LinkedIn link, posts, comments, articles, poll votes, support messages.
- Payments: amount, date, Razorpay payment and subscription ids, and your membership dates. Card, UPI and bank details stay with Razorpay.
- Activity: sessions you join, when you were last active, and basic technical logs (IP address, browser) kept for security.
- Account recovery requests: the details you submit, including phone number, used only to confirm it is you.
Why we use it
- To run your account and show your profile and posts to other members.
- To process membership and batch payments and give you access.
- To send notifications about replies, sessions, batches and your account.
- To keep the community safe: moderation, preventing spam and abuse, and investigating reports.
- To understand, in aggregate, how the community is used so we can improve it.
We do not sell your personal data and we do not show third-party ads.
Who can see what
- Other members see your display name, username, photo, bio, posts and comments. Your bank, role and city only if you choose "All community members" for them.
- Published articles are public on the web, with your display name.
- The Bankpediaa team can see account details to support you and moderate the community. Every admin action is logged.
Service providers
We use Google (sign-in), Razorpay (payments), Hostinger (hosting in India-accessible data centres) and YouTube (session recordings). They process data only to provide their service.
How long we keep data
