Bankpediaa is a community for bankers in India. It is a place where people who work in public sector banks, private banks and regional rural banks can learn new skills, plan their next step and talk openly. This article explains what the community is for, who it helps and how you can use it, even if you only have a few minutes a day.

Why bankers need their own space in 2026
Most bankers we talk to say the same things. The workload keeps growing. Targets keep changing. Staff is short at many branches. By the time you reach home, there is no energy left to learn anything new.
At the same time, the world outside the bank is changing fast. AI tools can now write, summarise, plan and design. People with a phone and a clear skill are earning from content, courses and services. Many bankers can see this happening, but they do not know where to start.
Some bankers also want to leave the job. A few want a change of field. Others want a business of their own. But they rarely get honest guidance. Friends and family often say "it is a safe job, why leave?" and the conversation ends there.
Bankpediaa was built for exactly this gap.
What this community for bankers focuses on
The community has a clear order of priorities. Here is what we focus on, in that order.

1. AI tools and content creation
AI is the most useful skill a banker can pick up this year. You do not need to be technical. You need to know which tools are worth your time, how to use them safely, and what never to share with them.
On Bankpediaa you will find simple guides on AI for daily work and for side projects. A good place to begin is our article AI for Bankers: Where to Start, and What to Never Do. It covers the first tools to try and the rules that keep customer data safe.
Content creation is the second half of this. Many bankers already know a lot about loans, savings, insurance and government schemes. That knowledge is useful to the public. With a little help, you can turn it into posts, short videos or articles that people want to read.
2. A second source of income
A salary alone feels tight for many families today. A second income does not have to mean a big business. It can be a small paid newsletter, a set of notes for exam aspirants, a design service or a simple ebook.
The community shares real ideas that bankers can try within their rules and their time. Members talk about what worked for them and what did not. You can also list your own ebooks, services and tools in the Bankpediaa Marketplace, where other members can find them.
3. A clear path if you want to exit the bank job
Leaving a stable job is a serious decision. It needs a plan, savings, a skill that pays and a realistic timeline. It should not be a sudden jump made on a bad day.
Bankpediaa talks about this openly. You will find real stories from people who moved on, and practical steps you can take while you are still in the job. If you decide to stay, the same skills make your current role easier. Either way, you gain.
4. Open banking discussion
Anything else related to banking is welcome. Branch life, policy changes, RBI rules, customer stories, transfers, five-day banking and more. If it matters to bankers, you can talk about it here.
Keep your identity private and still use everything
This is the most important point, so we will say it plainly.
Many bankers do not speak freely online. They worry that a senior or a colleague will read a post and hold it against them. So they stay silent, even when they have useful things to say.
On Bankpediaa you can stay private and still use every feature. Here is how it works:
Display name. When you join, you choose the name other members see. It can be your real name, a short form or a pen name.
Handle. You also get a @handle, like @branch_diaries. This is your profile link.
Bank, role and city. These stay private by default. Only you can see them. They appear on your profile only if you turn on the switch to show them.
Account details. Your full name and account details are marked private and are never shown to other members.
So you can post, comment, write articles, join sessions and use the Marketplace without telling anyone where you work. Speak your mind, ask the question you were afraid to ask, and share what you really think.
What you can do on Bankpediaa
Here is a quick tour of the main parts of the site.
Feed. Share posts, polls and useful links. Like and comment on posts from other bankers. Follow the people whose posts you enjoy.
Articles. Write longer pieces on topics you know well. Every article gets a clean page that is easy to find on Google. Free members can publish one article a month, and Community members can publish as many as they like.
Learn. The Library has sections on AI for bankers, content creation, careers and second income, real stories, a weekly digest and banking know-how. There are also short updates you can read in a minute.
Live sessions. Join live sessions on the topics above. You can tap "Remind me" so you do not miss one, and the join link opens 15 minutes before the start.
Batches. For deeper learning there are paid batches, which are small courses run over a few weeks. One example is Content Creation with AI. Community members get a discount on batches.
Marketplace. Members list their ebooks, services and tools here, so other members can find them.
Free plan and Community membership
You can join Bankpediaa for free. The free plan lets you read, post, comment, follow other bankers and try most of the site.

If you want to go further, there is a paid Community member plan for ₹299 a month. As a founding offer, the first 100 members pay ₹199 a month, for life. It removes the monthly limits and gives you more of the learning, the sessions and the batch discounts. You can see what each plan includes on the membership page.
Start with the free plan. Upgrade only if you find it useful.
Who runs Bankpediaa
Bankpediaa was started by Yogesh Kumar, a former PNB banker. He knows the long hours, the pressure and the questions that come with this job. The Bankpediaa name is also known to many bankers through its Instagram page.
Today the community has around 900 members from banks across India, and it grows every week. Every member adds something, whether it is a question, a story or a useful tip.
